The Haas-Lilienthal House is the only intact private home, built in 1886, that captures the charm of San Francisco, before the great earthquake of 1906.  It is now a museum complete with authentic furniture and artifacts.   The stunning Queen Anne-style house has been showcased on A&E's America's "Castles by the Bay".  Your guide on the one-hour tour gives a complete introduction to the Victorian architecture prevalent throughout the city, as well as the history of the house and its inhabitants.

Hours: Sunday, 11:00 am–4:00 pm; Wednesday and Saturday, 12:00 pm–3:00 pm. Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.  May be closed major U.S. holidays and some Saturdays for special events.

Directions: Near bus lines 1, 12, 19, 27, 47 & 49 and an easy walk from end of California Street Cable Car line at Van Ness.
